- Lighting for Tomorrow 2013 Competition Announced, January 17, 2013. Lighting for Tomorrow launched its 11th consecutive annual competition at the Dallas Market, January 17-20. For the first time, Lighting for Tomorrow will pay particular attention to lighting designed to meet the needs of the growing senior market and invite organic light emitting diode luminaires to submit as part of the solid state lighting competition. Lighting for Tomorrow will also continue to build on the momentum from previous competitions for lighting control products including stand-alone, system-based and whole house devices as well as LED luminaires for specific applications, retrofit kits and replacement lamps.
- 2012 Lighting for Tomorrow Awards, September 11, 2012. The tenth annual Lighting for Tomorrow competition challenged manufacturers to continue to improve their design of light emitting diode (LED) products and enter high quality light fixtures, fixture retrofit kits, and replacement lamps that meet consumers’ expectations. And for the third time, Lighting for Tomorrow invited lighting control manufacturers to enter lighting control devices with the requirement that they be compatible with energy efficient technologies, such as fluorescent and LEDs.
- Lighting for Tomorrow Announces a New Partner, September 1, 2011. A familiar name in the residential lighting industry, UL joins long time partners American Lighting Association (ALA) and the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) as an organizer for the Lighting for Tomorrow energy efficient lighting design competition.
