2006 SSL Competition

Lighting for Tomorrow held the first Solid State Lighting (SSL) competition in 2006. The competition invited LED-based fixtures in several niche lighting applications, including kitchen under cabinet, portable desk/task, and outdoor porch, step and pathway. Fixtures were evaluated on the basis of energy efficiency, design, and lighting quality. Four winners were selected, in addition to four honorable mentions.

2006 Yearbook Competition

A total of 26 indoor and outdoor fixture families were selected on the basis of style, innovation, and marketability to be included in the 2006 Lighting for Tomorrow Yearbook.
